School Messenger Information

Tracy Unified School District uses a communication platform called School Messenger. Parent contact information, including phone number, email address, cell phone, etc., are obtained from our Aeries Student Information System and used to communicate messages from schools. Messages include: School Announcements, School closures, Emergencies, Attendance reports, Lunch account balances, Fees and fines, and more.

How to Manage School Messenger Preferences

How do I create and activate my account?

Creating your School Messenger Account allows you to view and listen to messages from Tracy Unified School District, verify your contact information, and personalize how you receive these communications.

There are two ways to activate your account:

Website: https://go.schoolmessenger.com/#/account/signup
Smartphone App: iTunes App Store | Google Play App Store and search for School Messenger

Here the steps you need to create and activate your account:

1. Click the website link above or download the School Messenger app on your smartphone.

2. Enter the email address you use for Aeries and create a password. If you do not remember the email address or do not have an email address, please contact your school.

3. An email will be sent to the email address you used. Please verify the account by following the instructions sent to the email.

4. You will be asked to activate the account with an email sent from School Messenger.

5. Click the activation link in the email.

How do I manage phone calls or text messages?

Once you've created your account, we'll automatically link the records associated with your email address in Aeries.

Once you are logged in, you can:

1. View the records associated with your account

2. Review the last 30 days of messages for all your associated records.

3. View your contact information and configure how you would like to receive notifications by clicking on the "settings" on the upper left corner, then "preferences".

Please note: You cannot opt out from receiving Emergency calls and notifications.

I get messages but I do not have a child at TUSD

Mobile carriers can sometimes reassign phone numbers to new phones or the information indicated in Aeries may be incorrect.

If you are receiving messages in error, you may do any of the following options:

1. Call the school site that placed the call. All of our School Messenger calls have caller ID, or

2. Call the TUSD Receptionist at (209) 830-3200 to report the problem, or

3. Send an email to parentsupport@tusd.net. Please include a detailed description of the problem including the phone number the system called, what the call was about, and the time you received the call
